Digitiser: CNC Touch Probe
Digitiser is a touch probe that connects to any XY CNC system that supports digitising through the parallel port. Digitiser works with conductive and non-conductive materials widening the scope of work you can digitise.
Digitiser in use on a desktop Mill
One benefit of digitising is that you can replace a broken item by sticking it back together and filling in any cracks, missing or worn areas and then digitise the 'mended' item. Save the data to disk and you can go on to create as many replicas as you require, even changing the scale to produce smaller or larger versions of the original work.

The Probe

The machine mounting is a 2 Morse taper shank suitable for a mill, if you require a different mounting adapter then please contact us for a quote.
The Software
We supply Digitiser software that will run on any PC saving the resulting data in standard HPGL format ensuring the file is ready to load straight into CompUCut or your chosen machine controller for profiling.
If your chosen machine controller supports G-codes then you can configure the Digitiser software to save the digitised data in G-code format.
We supply Digitiser software on CD or floppy disk, please specify the format you require when ordering.
If you already have a CNC system capable of digitising you should be able to set the system configuration to recognise the probe.
